Version 0.5 - added blind input mode
May 9, 2007 – 12:42 amThis is a really simple extra feature. Pressing Ctrl-Shift-F11 (configurable) cloaks the entire screen. If an app has keyboard focus before this feature is activated, it will still have it while cloaking is on, so you can type while hiding what you have written. This feature is intended to make it faster to write the first draft of a new piece of text by reducing the temptation to reread and edit the text before it is completed.
Make sure your application has input focus before activating this to ensure that your typing is actually being recorded! Also, you will need to set the opacity to nearly 100% (right click on the taskbar icon and select “Settings…” in order to make the text unreadable. Also, I suggest working in a separate document when using blind input and then pasting into your main document later to avoid messing things up in the event of accidental keypresses.
One Response to “Version 0.5 - added blind input mode”
I have two monitors where one is in portrait mode and the other is in landscape. Since the one in portrait mode is higher than the landscape one it seems like the algorithm you are using to cloak the screen is getting confused. I have a full section of both screens that is not getting cloaked. From the top of the landscape mode screen to the top of my active window. This uncloaked section extends all the way to my other screen (in portrait). Any Ideas?
Thanks,
